Boychova Dupka Cave

Boychova Dupka Cave, also known as Boychova Skala, lies near the village of Logodazh, south of the settlement, in the southern part of the Vlakhina Mountains, on the left valley slope of the Logodazhka River. It stands at about 830 m above sea level and has formed in Middle Triassic limestone, which explains its rich karst features and distinctive rocky character. The cave is around 200 m long and is notable for its spacious central chamber, preserved dripstone formations, and its raw, almost untouched underground atmosphere. It was revealed during quarry works in 1979 and was later explored and mapped by Bulgarian cavers and researchers. In 1984, it was declared a protected natural landmark, and its value is further enhanced by important cave fauna, including rare troglobiont species and local endemics.
