Dobravishka Skaklya

Dobravishka Skaklya is a striking waterfall in the Ponor Mountains (Western Stara Planina), just minutes from the village of Dobravitsa, Svoge; its drop is about 20 m. The water plunges from a rocky crown and bursts into a cool mist that makes the spot irresistibly photogenic.

It flows best in spring and after rains, while in summer it may dry out. Mineral deposits tint the rocks in golden hues—hence the nickname “the golden Skaklya”—and the approach from the village is short and easy.
