Kademliysko Praskalo

Kademliysko Praskalo is a lofty alpine waterfall in Central Balkan National Park, formed by the Kademliyska River, a tributary of the Tazha. It sits beneath the Triglav massif, close to the Tazha and Triglav mountain huts, at roughly 1,500 m a.s.l., with a drop of about 70–72 m.

The jet plunges from a crown of sheer cliffs and crashes onto giant boulders, filling the air with mist. Beneath the falls lies a vigorous karst spring and a small cave where ice lingers into late summer.

The area was declared a natural monument in 1965, and the open rock amphitheatre frames the waterfall’s dramatic presence year-round.
