Kobilini Steni are a striking ridge of stepped, near-vertical limestone cliffs in the Vratsa Balkan area, within the “Vratsa Balkan” Nature Park. They lie on the south-western slopes below the peaks Parshevitsa and Beglichka Mogila, above the villages of Opletnya and Ochindol, at roughly 900–1400 m elevation. In places the rock walls curve in wave-like forms, creating several successive belts with a total length of about 2.6 km; in the central section the vertical faces exceed 100 m. From the edge you get expansive views toward the Iskar Gorge and the surrounding mountains, making the spot ideal for a short hike and panoramic stops on clear days.
