Kopitoto

Kopitoto is a classic Vitosha lookout perched above Sofia’s southern neighborhoods. Its name comes from the hoof-shaped rock outcrop, but the spot is best recognized by the 186 m TV transmission tower built here in 1986 at 1,345 m a.s.l. From the terraces around the tower, Sofia unfolds below you: the Sofia Valley, the city grid and, on clear days, the surrounding mountain rims.

Popular for short walks and sunsets, Kopitoto brings you into the mountains without going far from the city. It can also be reached on foot via marked routes (e.g., from Zlatnite Mostove, with options toward/from the Boyana area), with the viewpoint close to the road.
