Kotlite is a cascading waterfall in Western Stara Planina near the town of Godech, fed by the Drakul River. The stream carves the limestone cliffs and drops in three successive steps that form smooth rock “cauldrons,” giving the site its name.
The total drop is about 22 m (precisely measured at 21.7 m), and the site has been a protected natural landmark since 1981.
It is highly seasonal—most lively in late winter and spring, often dry in summer—and sits next to Bukorovski Monastery “St. George.”
