Muratovo Lake (also called the Big Muratovo/Juniper Lake) is a glacial lake in Northern Pirin, not far from Vihren Hut, set in a small cirque northeast of Muratov Peak. It lies at about 2,230 m a.s.l. on a distinct terrace and has a kidney-like outline. The surface area is around 12.3 decares (about 1.23 ha) and the maximum depth is roughly 3.2 m. A stream descending between Muratov and Hvoynati peaks feeds the lake, creating a small estuary and two notable peninsulas. From the shores you get wide alpine views toward Todorka Peak, while three tiny nearby lakes above it often dry up in summer.
