Stari Chal Waterfall, also associated with the name Kazana, is a scenic waterfall in the Eastern Rhodopes, in Kardzhali Province, near the village of Dolna Kula in Krumovgrad Municipality. It lies in a wild and relatively untouched landscape that gives the place a strong sense of seclusion and raw natural beauty. The waterfall itself is about 15–16 meters high and has an intermittent flow, which makes it most impressive during wetter periods and after rainfall. Access is marked as difficult, adding to the site’s unspoiled and adventurous character. In the Bulgarian Waterfalls catalog, Stari Chal and Kazana are listed practically at the same spot, with nearly identical coordinates, which is why the two names are often connected.
