The Rachene River carves a limestone canyon between the villages of Kameno Pole and Reselets. Its signature features are the “Chuklite” — clusters of tower-like rock pinnacles, protected as a natural landmark since 1974.

This stretch runs for over 10 km, with narrows where the gorge reaches roughly 100 m in depth. Rachene is a left tributary of the Iskar River, joining it near Reselets, which explains the striking karst scenery of Bulgaria’s Western Fore-Balkan.
