Tserovski Waterfall

Tserovo Waterfall lies on the Varovitsa River, just north of Tserovo village in the Iskar Gorge of the Western Balkan Mountains (Sofia Province). In a narrow, shaded ravine, the stream drops in a slim yet impressive plunge (about 19 m) over a rock wall that often shows a distinct reddish tint.

The waterfall is strongest in spring, while after dry spells the flow can fade. In cold winters it may freeze into striking ice formations. Access is easy for most visitors: a short, unmarked footpath of roughly 500 m starts from a bend on the road toward Zasele/Zimevitsa, making it a perfect quick nature escape.
