Vidimsko pruskalo

Vidimsko Praskalo is a dramatic waterfall in the Severen Dzhendem Reserve of Central Balkan National Park, above the town of Apriltsi (Vidima district). Here the water drops down near-vertical cliffs for about 80 m, often filling the gorge of the Praskalska River with fine spray. The flow is gathered from several small streams rising high below the main ridge between the peaks of Paradzhika and Yurushka Gramada. The safest view is from the final panoramic platform of the “Vidimsko Praskalo” eco-trail, which follows the river through old beech forest; leaving the marked route toward the waterfall is restricted and can be dangerous.
